Matthew Mejia is a partner at Kulik Gottesman Siegel & Ware LLP.  Mr. Mejia represents businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, and individuals in all facets of litigation, including trial. He has multiple practice areas and specialties including general liability matters, construction defect and disputes, habitability and tenantability matters, subrogation, and complex business disputes.

He joined the firm in 2022 after honing his practice at a boutique litigation firm located in both Agoura Hills and Westlake Village.

CIVIL LITIGATION

Examples of prior successes in the civil litigation matters include:

Spencer v. The J. Paul Getty Trust. Successfully moved for summary judgment in a claim for premises liability.

G.T. Dave v. Stock Building Supply. Successfully defended a national supply company in an action asserting claims of product liability and fraud.

California Delta Mechanical, Inc. v. Plaza Towers Condominium Association, Inc. Successfully defended a multinational supplier of construction material in a claim for construction defects.

Mr. Mejia is a former college athlete who extends the spirit of competition to the various litigated matters that he handles. He is a tireless advocate with tremendous dedication to his clients.

From 2018 to 2023, Mr. Mejia has been selected to the California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Mr. Mejia was recognized for his work in the area of civil litigation defense, general litigation, and construction litigation. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the attorneys in California are named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, which recognizes up-and-coming attorneys who are age 40 or younger, or who have been in practice for 10 years or less. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area.
